LLANO – Coming off a 17-7 home victory over Jim Ned in Monday’s season opened, the Brownwood Lions suffered their first defeat of the year, 14-0, at Llano Friday afternoon.

Brownwood (1-1) finished with just two hits – a double by Mia Lopez and a single by Kyleigh Caperton – and drew a pair of walks – one each by Mackenzie Welch and Adriana Romero.

Tynlea Wilson yielded 14 runs – seven earned – on 14 hits with two strikeouts and a pair of walks. The Lady Lion defense committed five errors.

Llano scored twice in the first inning, added four more runs in the second, and erupted for eight runs in the bottom of the fourth.

The Lady Lions are back in action at 4:30 p.m. Monday as they host Merkel.
