LLANO – The Brownwood Lions golfers posted a composite score of 330 Wednesday to finish third as a team at the Llano Invitational, while Hudson Reagan finished first individually with a round of 74.

Slayde Espinoza added a third-place effort of 76 trailed by Caleb Modawell with an 85 and Kobe Walker with a 95. Sir Bubba Jones missed the tournament due to illness.

Wimberley – led by 2021 state champion Jaxon Donaldson, who came in fourth individually with a round of 77 – finished first as a team with a 314 score followed by runner-up Llano with a 320.

The Lions will be back in action Feb. 24-25 at the Region I-4A preview tournament at Shadow Hills Golf Course in Lubbock.
