GATESVILLE – The Brownwood JV tennis team competed at the Gatesville tournament Tuesday and earned one gold medal, one silver and a pair of bronze medals.

Finishing first was the girls doubles team of Emily Ochoa and Allie Fulton, while Thomas Stewardson came in second in boys singles. Placing third were Daphne Nance in girls singles and the boys doubles tandem of Andre Martinez and Trine Baugh.

Others participating in tournament were Osmar Carrere and Nick Lambert in boys doubles; Sariyah Garcia and Anna Daniel in girls doubles; Makenzie Williams and Averi Mair in girls singles; and Kris Koepp in boys singles.

Teams competing included Waco High, Burnet, San Saba, Gatesville, Harker Heights, Jarrell, Mexia, and Brownwood.
