The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of January 25:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

SLOW. Water slightly stained; 53 degrees; 8.40 feet below pool. Bass are slow on crankbaits in craw or shad colors, or jigs in brown, green or orange. Fishing in 3-10 feet of water along rock cuts and shallow brush piles on docks. Crappie are slow on minnows. White bass are slow on jigs. Catfish are fair on cut shad drifting or jug lines.

LAKE CISCO

GOOD. Water stained; 53 degrees; 8.24 feet below pool. Catfish are biting on perch off docks and trotlines. Bass are biting off docks on perch. Report by Jason Miller, Lake Cisco Rentals.

LAKE COLEMAN

SLOW. Slightly stained; 53-58 degrees; 5.23 feet below pool. Bass are biting off docks and in the creeks with crankbaits and jerkbaits. Hybrid stripers are good chasing schools of shad using rattletraps. Crappie are on brush piles and standing timber near creeks using jigs and minnows. Catfish are in deeper water biting cut bait.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

GOOD. Water stained; 53 degrees; 23.24 feet below pool. Fishing patterns are similar. White bass are good with live bait and crankbaits. Crappie fair with jigs and minnows. Largemouth bass are fair. Catfish are fair on prepared baits, cut bait and live bait. Report by Concho Park and Marina. Giant bass are 50 feet of water suspended in 20-30 feet of water Alabama rig with a five inch swimbait, white swim jigs with shad trailers. Rock ledges and rock piles in 20-30 feet of water Carolina rigs and deep crankbaits, power worms. Report by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs.

LAKE PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 55 degrees; 9.26 feet below pool. Catfish are biting great in 15-18 feet of water on shad cut or whole. Lots of bait to be found near the bank almost anywhere on the lake. Seeing larger fish in the shallows but not getting many good bites in less than 7 feet. Report by Jeffery Sojourner, Sojourner Fishing LLC.
