James “Jimmy” Preston Luthy, age 62, of Brownwood, Texas, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. A memorial service will be held Saturday January 28, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Greater Faith Community Church.

Jimmy was born on February 6, 1960 in Brownwood and graduated from Brownwood High School in 1979. He loved spending time with family and friends and was an avid fan of Dolly Parton and music. Often, Jimmy could be found attending Dolly’s concerts.

For a number of years, Jimmy delivered medicine for Winn’s Pharmacy. He also worked for King’s Food Market.

Jimmy is survived by his sisters Kathy Luthy of Brownwood, Texas and Mary Wright of McKinney, Texas; uncle David Bullion and wife Loretta of Brownwood, Texas; niece Jennifer Medina and husband Israel of Anna, Texas; nephew Jeremy Wright of Marshall, Texas; and numerous cousins. Preceding him in death were his mother, Glenda Luthy McGlothlin of Comanche, Texas, father, James Luthy of Fort Leonardwood, Missouri and grandmother, Mabel Bullion of Brownwood, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hendricks Hospice Care in Abilene, Texas.
