Jack Glenn Smith, age 76, of Lake Brownwood left this side of Heaven on Saturday, January 21, 2023, but a week prior he was doing what he always did. Answering the call. Our family could call him any time and he would answer. He would pull over in his Toyota Tacoma on a county road near Brown County and take our call.

For decades our Dad owned Greenwood Office Supply on 220 Center Avenue. Anyone that was a customer he considered a friend. It was his honor to know your name and answer your call. Dad’s gift was service. He served the Brownwood Community proudly and his kindness knew no bounds. If you called, he wouldn’t just show up but Dad would be the first person to show up. And probably have a joke or two for you. There was no one like him. We will miss you Dad and we know Brownwood will never be the same without you.

Jack is survived by his wife, Vicki Smith of Seminole; son, BJ Smith and wife Marcia of Elgin, SC; daughter, Jammie Sean Smith of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Dave Smith of Elgin, SC and Kingston Cruz Smith of Los Angeles, CA; and a sweet sister, Tweenette Schwartz. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lyla Marie Smith; brothers, Billy Paul Smith and David Michael Smith; sister, Lolita Reeves.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and time. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers please shop and buy locally.
