Business and community representatives will travel to Austin to meet with elected officials, commissioners and lawmakers as the new legislative session gets underway. This trip is vital for Brown County as we continue to develop relationships with state lawmakers. This is a chance to talk with lawmakers face to face in Austin.
The laws being proposed this year can directly impact your business and our community. The trip includes the bus ride to and from Austin, participation in the legislative briefings and attendance at Austin Club reception with lawmakers.
The charter bus will depart at 7am. Participants will be introduced to the Texas House of Representatives as well as the Texas Senate. Afternoon information sessions with local lawmakers will be held and there will be a photo taken on the capitol steps. The day will end with a VIP reception at the Austin Club.
To attend the entire day, the cost is $125 per person before January 25th. If you are only interested in attending the reception, the cost is $75 per person and transportation is not provided.
