The Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit recently posted the following on its Facebook page:

While we are absolutely excited to see the art submissions from so many amazing Texas artists, the Stars Exhibit is proud to offer one local Brown County student a chance to have one of their works displayed in the exhibit, and win $500.

Any Brown County student (public, private, or homeschooled) ages 12-17 years old can submit ONE entry on Friday, January 27th, from 5-8 p.m. at the Depot in Brownwood.

Only ONE student artwork will be accepted into the show, and that accepted entry will win the $500 Dr. Joyce R. Wilson Student Award. All other entries will be displayed at the Lehnis Railroad Museum, or the students can take their work home on Saturday, January 28th, when the accepted entries are announced.
