MAY – Both the May Tigers and Lady Tigers will play for the championships in their own basketball tournament based on Thursday’s results.

The Tigers knocked off Hamlin, 61-20, and will face either Priddy or Benjamin in the final at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Against Hamlin, May led 17-6 after one quarter, 31-10 at halftime, and 46-18 through three frames.

Luke McKenzie and Ben Harrell led the Tigers with 17 points apiece.

The Lady Tigers edged Hamlin, 33-32, to clinch their berth, rallying in the fourth period.

May trailed 8-6 after one quarter, 17-15 at halftime, and 25-22 after three periods.

Mia Musick scored a team-high 17 points for the Lady Tigers (11-9).
