Ginger Minkley Thomas

Ginger Minkley Thomas, age 68, of Brownwood, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022 at home surrounded by her family. A memorial service for Ginger will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 31 at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Lake Brownwood.

Ginger was born on August 27, 1954 in Graham to Geneva and Charles Minkley. She attended Gainesville College where she received a degree in nursing. She worked in home health for Tristar and Girling hospice for many years. She married Gerald Thomas on January 3, 1978 in Gainesville. Ginger enjoyed watching NCSI, Blue Bloods, and Law and Order. She loved being surrounded by her children and grandchildren and hanging out with her friends. She could often be found at Burger King with her long-time friend, Maria. She never met a stranger; Ginger loved everyone and everyone loved her in return.

Ginger is survived by her husband, Gerald Thomas; children, Karen Thomas and Will Thomas; her grandchildren, Brian Thomas and wife Christie, Alex Moreno and wife Elizabeth Perez, and Landon Thomas; siblings, Charles (Chuck) Minkley and wife Lisa, and Carol Salyer. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her grandson, Brent Thomas.
