Two indicted for Capital Murder after August death of 9-year-old girl

Dawn Faith Hill-Flesner and Jamie Faye Anderson

The Brownwood Police Department issued the followed press release shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday:

On Monday, August 22, 2022, at approximately 5:10 p.m., first responders for the City of Brownwood were dispatched to a home in the 700blk of Ave C regarding a report of an unresponsive juvenile. That evening, 9-year-old HardiQuinn Hill was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Harold Hogan.

Detectives with the Brownwood Police Department Criminal Investigations Division were contacted and commenced their investigation.

On September 27, 2022, HardiQuinn’s mother, 47-year-old Dawn Faith Hill-Flesner and her partner 42-year-old Jamie Faye Anderson were arrested and charged with Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair.

Facts gathered during the investigation were presented to the December session of the Brown County Grand Jury and indictments were returned against Hill-Flesner and Anderson for:

  • Capital Murder of a Person under 10yrs of Age – no bond

  • Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence – $250,000

(This is in addition to the charge on September 27, 2022)

  • Count 1 Injury to a Child w/Intent to Cause Serious Bodily Injury – $250,000

  • Count 2 Injury to a Child w/Intent to Cause Serious Bodily Injury – $250,000

On Saturday, December 17, 2022, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Hill-Flesner and Anderson were served with these indictments at the Brownwood/Brown County Law Enforcement Center.

Officers and detectives of the Brownwood Police Department as well as other agencies have spent countless hours during this investigation. These officers have dedicated themselves and continue to work to ensure the investigation is thorough. Understand that this investigation continues to progress and remains active. There are no additional details to be released at this time.
