Joe “Richard” Sanchez, 68, of Zephyr, Texas passed away unexpectedly December 14, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. A visitation with the family will be held at Heartland Funeral Home from 3:00 – 5:00 PM, Sunday, December 18, 2022. Celebration of Life service will be held in Heartland Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 19, 2022.

Richard was born May 11, 1954. He was raised by two loving parents, Joe and Josephine Sanchez, on their ranch in Zephyr, Texas. Richard graduated high school at Zephyr. Richard retired with 3M in Brownwood Texas with over 20 years of service. On September 21, 1973 he married Isabell Sanchez, they recently celebrated 49 years of marriage. Together they raised three wonderful daughters, Jennifer Whittington, Angie Maxam and Holly Webb. Richard had four grandchildren, Alex Whittington, Ariel Anderson, Aidan and Anson Kilgore and one great grandson Miles Whittington. He adored his grandkids and loved spending time with each and everyone. He loved to take them fishing and he especially loved cooking for not only his grandchildren but all friends and family. Richard was a great cook and if you asked people, they’d all have a different dish they loved that he made.

Online condolences can be shared with the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net.
