Hendrick Health was named the 2022 Local Employer of Excellence for West Central Texas and recognized as one of three finalists statewide for Large Employer of the Year at the Texas Workforce Commission’s 25th Annual Texas Workforce Employer Awards. Hendrick Health was nominated by Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas for their contributions to the Texas workforce system.

Hendrick Health was founded in 1924 and has grown to meet the needs of local residents across 24 counties with a three-hospital system employing over 4,800 workers. Granted numerous awards and designations for employee and community engagement, Hendrick is a great place to work and an innovative workforce system partner. They are part of a child care collaborative that expands local capacity, meets the needs of employees and working families, creates an early childhood education talent pipeline, and reinvests back into the community. With a $255,586 training grant to create a career ladder and upskill 155 incumbent workers, $38,000 in scholarships to train students in healthcare occupations, career exploration participation, and industry-education partnership, Hendrick Health supports the workforce of today and tomorrow.

Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas will honor Hendrick Health during an awards presentation on Wednesday, December 21 at Noon.
