Foundation Repair & Floor Leveling
Brown County Building – The Oaks Rite of Passage

2. All bids must be submitted by January 13th, 2023. No e-mailed bids. All bids must be submitted
in a sealed envelope to the Brown County Clerk’s office marked “SEALED BID, THE OAKS
FOUNDATION REPAIR”.
3. All sealed bids will be opened and read at the Commissioners Court Meeting January
17th, 2023.
4. All late bids will be rejected.
Project Title
“The Oaks Foundation Repair”
Project Requirements
1. The quote is to be in two separate quotes.
a. One is for the foundation repair and floor leveling in the area identified as “Phase One”
which is the long wall down the Main Hallway and the affected wall in the Training
Center.
b. Second is for the foundation repair and floor leveling in the area identified as the
Maintenance Area.
2. Upon request a bidding contractor will be supplied with a copy of the Engineers Foundation
Evaluation Study including the engineer’s recommendations for mitigation.
3. This project will include but is not limited to:
a. Some concrete cutting and removal
b. Some dirt removal
c. Professional installation of foundation leveling equipment and/or substances in
accordance to recommendations of the Engineers Foundation Evaluation Study.
d. Replacement of fill material
e. Replacement and leveling of concrete ready to receive VCT tile.
Legal Relations and Disclaimers
The proposed work of this project is to repair and level the foundation and walls of the identified
affected areas in accordance with the engineer’s assessment and recommendations. When
completed it is expected that all doors in the identified affected areas will open and close in a normal
manner.
The winning contractor bid will be required to have Performance Bond and be Bonded and Insured.
All warranties will be included with the contractors bid.
