Early voting total at 2,136 after third straight day with at least 700 ballots cast

An additional 702 voters took to the polls Wednesday, bringing the early voting count in Brown County to 2,136 head of the Nov. 8 general election, according to Brown County Elections Administrator Larry Franks.

All early voting will take place at the Elections Administration Office, located at 613 N. Fisk St., Suite 200 in Brownwood.

Early voting hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 28; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31-Wednesday, Nov. 2; and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3- Saturday, Nov. 4.

State races on the ballot include Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller, Land Commissioner, Agriculture Commissioner, Railroad Commissioner, Supreme Court Justice Places 3, 5, and 9, and Criminal Court of Appeals Judge Places 5 and 6.

The only local race on the ballot is Brownwood ISD Board of Trustees Place 7 which features candidates Aristeo (A.R.) Cardenas, Justin Posey, Chelsey Flippin, Francie Clark and Neil Larremore.
