1,434 ballots cast through two days of early voting

Following a 700-voter turnout Monday, Brown County Elections Administrator Larry Franks reported Tuesday an additional 734 early votes were cast ahead of the Nov. 8 general election, bringing the two-day total to 1,434.

All early voting will take place at the Elections Administration Office, located at 613 N. Fisk St., Suite 200 in Brownwood.

Early voting hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 28; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31-Wednesday, Nov. 2; and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3- Saturday, Nov. 4.

State races on the ballot include Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller, Land Commissioner, Agriculture Commissioner, Railroad Commissioner, Supreme Court Justice Places 3, 5, and 9, and Criminal Court of Appeals Judge Places 5 and 6.

The only local race on the ballot is Brownwood ISD Board of Trustees Place 7 which features candidates Aristeo (A.R.) Cardenas, Justin Posey, Chelsey Flippin, Francie Clark and Neil Larremore.
