Larry Chamberlain, age 65, of Early passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Hendrick Hospital Brownwood.

Celebration of Life for Larry will be held from 4 – 7 p.m., come and go, Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Blaylock Funeral Home. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Larry was born on May 22, 1957, to Robert and Edith (Smiley) Chamberlain in Franklin County, Ohio. In 1978, he moved to Texas during an Ohio blizzard. Larry helped build the dam at Lake Brownwood until he went to work at Kohler in 1983, where he was employed for 25 years. After leaving Kohler in 2008, Larry worked at Walmart for eight years until 2016 when he became employed at United Supermarket, where he worked until his passing.

He met the love of his life, Brenda, in 1987 and they were married in March of 1991. Larry and Brenda raised three daughters and shared 34 happy years together. Their daughters and grandchildren were the lights of Larry’s life. The only thing he may have enjoyed more than his kids and grandkids was talking, he never met a stranger.

Larry is survived by his wife of 31 years, Brenda of Early; three daughters, Tohmi Bible and husband Stephen of Bangs; Brandy Rouse of Owens, Tasha McCurdy and husband Mike of Owens; grandchildren, Ceth Hardy and wife Amy of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Caleb Hardy of Granbury, Payton and Connor Bible of Lake Brownwood, Angela Dunbar and husband Richard of Brownwood, Shy Ann Dean of Brownwood, Kyra Blaine and husband Olithios of Guyman, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, David and Austin Dunbar, Myles Sonneville, and Nyah and Zuri Blaine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Edith; along with a brother and sister.

Online condolences for the family are welcome at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
