Michael Head, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 10th, 2022.

Michael was born on Tuesday, April 13, 1976 in Houston, Texas to Robert and Linda Head. When he was 4 years old, his family moved to Durango, Colorado to get away from city life and enjoy the outdoors. While attending Durango Senior High School his hobbies included skateboarding, reading comics, and listening to punk rock music. He graduated from Durango Senior High School in 1994, and soon afterwards Mike and his family moved back to Texas.

Over the years he worked in retail and at a distribution center, and his hobbies continued to focus on music, video games, watching movies and anime. Mike loved animals, and a few years ago he adopted a rescue dog, Mika, who is both very cute and very loud. Through the years he amassed a large graphic t-shirt collection (mostly black), and he was almost always seen wearing one with camo shorts and a baseball hat.

Mike was never married and had no children, but he had a close group of friends who he cared for greatly and often met up with to hang out, see concerts, and attend comic book conventions.

Mike is survived by his parents, Robert and Linda Head from Early, TX; his older sister Kerri Casino, who lives California, and his half-sister Debbie Ruid, who lives in Wisconsin.

Services are under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home, online condolences, memories and tributes can be made to the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net.
