The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of October 12:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

SLOW. Water slightly stained; 73-76 degrees; 7.72 feet low. Bass are excellent to 8.32 pounds using topwater lures early and late in 1-5 feet of water on flats, and square bill crankbaits, shaky heads, and glide baits around docks with brush out to 10 feet of water. Crappie to 1.25 pounds are slow on minnows and jigs suspended under docks, and jigs working best on brush piles. White bass are excellent on crankbaits and jigs under the lights around lake flats. Catfish are poor.

LAKE CISCO

GOOD. Water stained; 79 degrees; 7.75 feet low. Crappie and bass are biting on brush piles with minnows and worms. Channel catfish are good on live and cut perch in shallow water. Report by Jason Miller, Lake Cisco Rentals.

LAKE COLEMAN

FAIR. Slightly stained; 79 degrees; 5.51 feet low. Fishing patterns are similar, look for fish to move shallower chasing bait as the water temperature declines. Crappie are fair with jigs or minnows on brush piles. Hybrid striped bass are good on slabs moving quickly over the main lake chasing bait balls. Bass are fair on green pumpkin jigs, black and blue jigs, shad color swim jigs.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

GREAT. Water stained; 78 degrees; 22.45 feet low. White bass are great with live bait and crankbaits. Crappie are good with jigs and minnows. Largemouth bass are good with jerkbaits. Catfish are good on prepared baits, cut bait and live bait. Report by Concho Park and Marina.

LAKE PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 74 degrees; 8.47 feet low. Crappie are poor. White bass are fair. Hybrid striped bass are fair to 14 pounds on Cordell half ounce slabs. Black bass are poor. Catfish are poor.
