The Brownwood Police Department issued the following press release Wednesday morning:

On Sunday, July 18, 2021, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of Sharp St. regarding a report of assault. This report would lead to a warrant being sought for Unlawful Restraint.

When officers arrived on scene, they learned that an intoxicated 38-year-old Leslie Ann Myers was at the residence and arguing with an adult female victim over their relationship issues. While arguing, Myers continually pushed and grabbed the victim in an attempt to not allow the victim to leave the residence. A report was generated, and a warrant was obtained.

On Tuesday, October 11, 2022, a traffic stop was initiated in the 3600 block of 1st St. and Myers was identified as the driver. The warrant was discovered and Myers was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail without incident.
