Roger Lynn Waldon, age 61 of Lake Brownwood, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 10, 2022, in the Eastlawn Memorial Park with Dennis Richardson officiating, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Roger was born March 13, 1961 in Brownwood, Texas to Miles and Zelda Waldon. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Miles Lee Waldon. Roger is survived by brother John Waldon of Canyon Lake; sisters, Janet Emerson of Stephenville and Paula Clarkson of Munford, Tennessee and Amber Garrison.

Many people called Roger their friend and he never met a stranger. He was an example of “a man who would give you the shirt off his back”. Roger graduated from Early High School and participated in many local sports as a young man and became an avid fan of his Longhorns and Cowboys. In recent years Roger taught himself to play the piano and guitar and enjoyed hobbies with wood crafts.

Roger had a long career in electrical supply sales until illness forced an early retirement. He dealt with life and adversity with his usual sense of humor and dignity. His faith in the Lord sustained him. Roger was well loved by his family and the void left by his passing will not be filled.

Condolences, memories and tributes can be offered to the family online at heartlandfuneralhome.net.
