Daniel Mack ” Danny Mack” Carey was born February 18, 1953, in Brownwood and left this earth peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2022.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 3, 2022, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Heartland Funeral Home. A private family inurnment will follow in Ebony Cemetery.
Danny was the sweetest, most kind soul with a gentle spirit, to know him was to love him. He was quiet by nature unless jamming out to his favorite bands CCR, The Beatles or rooting for his Dallas Cowboys which would often make him throw his hat across the room. He loved his family and living a simple life and his last few years were his happiest. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of integrity, wisdom, and kindness and is now reunited with his beloved parents and brothers.
He is survived by his children son Coy Gilbert and wife Marci of Tulsa, Oklahoma, daughter Cristina Luttrell and husband Bobby of Sevierville, Tennessee and six beautiful grandchildren Kaili, Austin, Trystin, Alesa, Michael and James. His soul mate and love of his life Pam Carey of Mullin, Texas, her four children and many other friends and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earvine B. Carey and Sarah Redwine-Carey, and his brothers Michael “Mike” Carey and Randall “Pooh Bear” Carey.
