Bombers 12u Sheffield Gold team took 1st place at the Down N Dirty Classic this past weekend. They lost their 1st bracket game to a really good Athletics Mercado team, and on Sunday worked their way through the losers bracket. The Bombers played 4 games on Sunday and scored 37 runs and allowed 0 runs by their opponents.

Amarrea Thomas and Brenda Allen were pool game MVPs. Amarrea Thomas hit her 10th homerun for 2022. Brenda Allen led the team this weekend with a .863 batting average and was given an offensive MVP game ball. Gabrielle Volz got a defensive MVP game ball. She was stellar on defense. She also hit .411 on the weekend. Burkleigh Gonzalez hit .406 for the weekend and Maty Quick hit .511.

Corinne Sheffield was chosen as tournament MVP by the opposing coach. She pitched 4 complete games on Sunday, pitching 16 innings and had 27 strikeouts. In four games she gave up 0 runs. Corinne hit .811 on the weekend as well.
