Shirley Sansing

Shirley Sansing, 86, of Coleman, died Saturday, September 24, 2022 at her residence.  The family will host a visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Chas Shira officiating. There will be a private interment at the Coleman City Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born Shirley Cobern on October 3, 1935 near Mercury in McCulloch County, Texas to Elbert Cobern and Vera Sansom Cobern.  On May 14, 1960, Shirley married Thad W. Sansing in Brady.  Shirley owned Sansing Bookkeeping Services, Inc., retiring in 2016.  She was also the county auditor for the County of Coleman for over 20 years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coleman.

Preceding Shirley in death are her parents.  Shirley is survived by her husband, Thad W. Sansing of Coleman; two children, Terri Cash and husband, Rex, of Post, Randy Sansing and wife, Laurie, of Tuscola; two sisters, Julia Smith of Katy, Anne Cobern of Odessa and one brother, Corky Cobern and wife, Sina, of Hurst.  Also surviving are four grandchildren, Wilson Cash and wife, Michelle, Colt Sansing, Madison Presnell and husband, Garrett, Gunner Sansing and wife, Skyler; three great grandchildren, Hudson Cash, Connor Cash, Baby Whitley Slade Sansing, due December, 2022 and a sister-in-law, Maggie Harris of Kilgore.

Memorial donations are suggested in memory of Shirley to the First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 983, Coleman, Texas  76834 or the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
