Lillie Doris Bamber, age 90, of Alamagordo, New Mexico passed to the arms of Jesus on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 4:10 am at the Bee Hive Nursing Home in Alamagordo..
Services will be graveside Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Coleman City Cemetery with Bro Vic Williford officiating.  Services are under the direction and care of Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman.
She was born on August 26, 1932 in Whon, Texas to Levi and Allie Lee Davis Smith.  Doris was raised in Coleman County attending Santa Anna Schools.  She married the love of her life Bill Bamber on October 20, 1952 celebrating 70 years of marriage.  While living in Santa Anna she was a member of the First Baptist Church.  She was a housewife taking care of her home and family and loved to go RVing.  Doris and Bill later moved to Coleman where they were members of the Central Baptist Church.  In 1979 they moved to Alamagordo, New Mexico joining New Heart Cowboy Church where she enjoyed singing.
Survivors include Husband – Bill Bamber of Alamagordo, New Mexico; Daughter – Gwen & husband Randy Burroughs of Alamagordo, New Mexico; Sons – Billy Bamber of Caldwell, Texas, Danny & wife Amy Bamber of Clyde, Texas, Ricky Bamber of Alamagordo, New Mexico; Many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren & Great Great Grandchildren; and A number of Nieces and Nephews
Doris was preceded in death by her parents and 6 siblings.
