Citizens National Bank announces Sept. 15 grand reopening celebration

Citizens National Bank will host a Grand Reopening Celebration on Thursday, September 15th, 2022, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. A ribbon cutting will occur at 10:00 am in front of the bank building in downtown Brownwood, at 1 Carnegie Street.

There will be live radio broadcasts, cash prize giveaways, and refreshments served all day. Tours of the building from 9:00 am until noon.

Citizens National Bank, Brownwood’s only home-owned independent bank, has invested significantly in downtown Brownwood. Citizens’ roots go from 1883 to the mercantile store, “Coggin Brothers and Ford Bank,” which later evolved into the Citizens National Bank. It was last chartered on September 28th, 1934.

The Board of Directors includes Calvin Fryar, Chairman of the Board; John P. Guest, Chief Executive Officer; Darwin Boscamp, President Emeritus; T. Keith Clark, Secretary; Steve Fryar; Tim Nabers; Robert G. Porter; Carter Sharpe; A. L. Speck, D.V.M. and Leesa Speck.

The Bank Officers are: John P. Guest, Chief Executive Officer; J.D. Johnson, President; Bob Boatright, Executive Vice President; Tully Hair, Senior Vice President, Credit Review Compliance; Jesse Mendoza, Senior Vice President, Chief Operations Officer; Mary E.
