Jason Adams and Janie Hobbs

Brownwood ISD issued the following press release Monday morning:

This month’s spotlight teacher is Jason Adams. Mr. Adams is a 5th grade teacher at East Elementary. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Texas and is a state certified teacher (EC-6). Mr. Adams has been with Brownwood ISD since 2019, making this year his fourth teaching at East.

Mr. Adams always goes above and beyond for his students. Along with teaching a new grade level this year, he is also now heading up UIL for the campus and had everything ready before school started. In addition, Mr. Adams has created a student council and consistently works to find new opportunities for his 5th graders. He truly cares for his students and will stay late and arrive early just to make sure all is taken care of for them.

Brownwood ISD is thankful to have teachers like Mr. Adams, who go out of their way for our students, putting forth extra time and effort to help them build character and achieve success.

Our staff spotlight honoree for the month is Janie Hobbs. Mrs. Hobbs is a Special Programs and Technology assistant. She previously worked as an administrative assistant at Brady ISD before joining the Brownwood ISD family in 2014 as a registrar at Woodland Heights Elementary. She moved into her current position at BISD Central Support Center in 2020.

Mrs. Hobbs worked throughout the summer purchasing, verifying, and sorting hundreds of boxes of new equipment, classroom manipulatives, summer school materials, and school supplies–and all with a great attitude. Additionally, she has put in countless hours working on registration and processing Project Neighborhood transfers. She is always helpful and has a positive influence in the work environment.

Brownwood ISD is blessed to have dedicated and reliable employees like Mrs. Hobbs who continually exceed expectations and provide outstanding support to our students and staff.
