Fishing Reports 9/7/22

The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of September 7:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

SLOW. Water slightly stained; 79-85 degrees; 6.71 feet low. Bass excellent to 4.50 pounds on jigs, shaky heads, topwater lures, and crankbaits on docks with brush in 2-10 feet of water. Crappie to one pound are excellent on minnows 12-15 feet of water over brush piles and under docks. White bass are fair on crankbaits and jigs under the lights. Catfish are slow on prepared baits around baited holes and on jug lines.

LAKE CISCO

GREAT. Water stained; 79 degrees; 6.95 feet low. Channel and flathead catfish are good on perch and frozen shad in 5-10 feet of water. Bass are fair along grass edges with crankbaits and topwaters. Report by Jason Miller, Lake Cisco Rentals.

LAKE COLEMAN

GOOD. Slightly stained; 82 degrees; 4.80 feet low. Crappie are good with jigs or minnows on brush piles. Hybrid striped bass are good on imitation. They are chasing bait fish all over the lake. Bass are good with fish to 6 pounds on a green pumpkin jigs, black blue jigs, shad color swim jigs.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

GREAT. Water stained; 80 degrees; 21.22 feet low. Fishing is similar and the water is slightly stained after the recent rains. White bass are great with live bait and crankbaits. Crappie good with jigs and minnows. Largemouth bass are good in 8-18 feet of water over grass with topwaters and crankbaits. Catfish are fair on prepared baits and live bait. LAKE PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 82 degrees; 7.19 feet low. All fishing continues to be poor while the lake is down. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striped bass are slow. White bass are slow on bomber slabs. Crappie are slow on live bait. Catfish are slow on cut shad.
