Harvey Lee Sigler, 76, passed away on September 5, 2022. Funeral services for Lee will be held on Saturday, September 10, at 10:00AM at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Procession for interment at Coleman City Cemetery will follow. Visitation will be held Friday, September 9, from 6-8P.M. at Heartland Funeral Home.

Lee was born April 4,1946 in Robstown, Texas. Lee entered the Navy after graduating from Brownwood High School. He retired from the Navy as Chief Petty Officer followed by a second retirement from Kohler in Brownwood, TX.

Lee and his wife, Saundra Sigler were married on June 20, 1987 in Early, TX. They were happily married for 35 years.

Lee is survived by his wife Saundra Sigler from Brownwood, TX, son Anthony Gober from California, son Jay Gober from Coleman, TX, son Chris Sigler & his wife Sarah Sigler from Roanoke, TX, daughter Angela White-Fabbiani & her husband Robert Fabbiani from Brownwood, TX, daughter Larah White-Ritchie & her husband Charles Ritchie from Chewelah, WA, and sister Diana Cavaness from San Angelo, TX. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Derrin Twiford, Laura-Ashlee Kotelman, Mason Ryden, Genevieve Ritchie, McKenna Ritchie, Korban Sigler, and Jade Sigler. Lee was preceded in death by his father Joseph Morgan Sigler, mother Mattie Leona Herron Sigler, sister Laura O’Neal, and brother Don Sigler.

Serving others filled Lee’s heart with joy. For nearly half a century, he devoted his heart and time to his work with the Lion’s Club. From 2011 – 2012 he served as District Governor for Area 2-A1. Working with the children at Texas Lions Camp was one of his favorite experiences. Lee was an active part of the reunion group from his time serving in Antarctica. The group would meet up somewhere in the world bi-annually. Lee & Saundra worked to plan the reunion group’s San Antonio gathering. Most recently, Lee enjoyed volunteering with the American Legion in Bangs, TX. He served as the finance officer and loved helping with bingo.

Lee absolutely loved being a family man. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. Lee enjoyed dominos and Hallmark movies, ever the sentimentalist. You would often find him watching the deer graze and the bluebonnets bloom from the back porch. As anyone who has ever had a conversation with Lee would know, he was quite the storyteller and well-known for his corny jokes.

In lieu of flowers, Lee personally requested that donations be made to Texas Lions Camp in tribute to H. Lee Sigler. https://www.lionscamp.com/
