Alex Jay Ringhoffer, 65, of Cross Plains, Texas went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Baylor University Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones in Dallas, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 31 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Cross Plains, Texas with Ronnie White officiating. Burial will follow after the service at the Burnt Branch Cemetery in Callahan County, Texas. The family will have a time of visitation on Tuesday, August 30 from 6:00 – 7:00 PM at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel in Cross Plains, Texas.

Jay was born on December 26, 1956 in Post, Texas to the Alex Henry Ringhoffer and Jo Ann Montgomery-Ringhoffer. He married Lacretia Foster on December 6, 1980 in Jacksboro, Texas.

Jay was preceded by father, Alex Henry Ringhoffer; two brothers-in-law, Johnny Comes and Reggie Foster.

Jay is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Lacretia Ringhoffer of Cross Plains, Texas; daughter, Cassie Ringhoffer-Yates and husband, William of Justin, Texas; two grandchildren, Aiden Yates and Autumn Yates both of Justin, Texas; mother, Jo Ann Ringhoffer of Cross Plains, Texas; sister, Karen Combs of Allen, Texas; one nieces and four nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in Jay’s name to The Amyloidosis Foundation 7151 N. Main St. Ste. 2 Clarkston, MI 48346
