MINERAL WELLS – The Brownwood High tennis team came up on the short end of a 14-5 decision against Iowa Park in non-district action Saturday.

Securing victories for Brownwood were Peter Le and River Prado in the No. 1 boys doubles spot (6-0, 6-3 over Logan Lindstrom and Nate Price), the No. 2 boys duo of Taevion Nickerson and Tyler Mitchell (6-2, 6-2 over Riley Kent and Whittington), Le at No. 1 boys singles (4-6, 6-4, 10-6 over Lindstrom), Prado at No. 2 boys singles (6-3, 6-3 over Price), and the mixed doubles team of Eric Smith and Ihana Figueroa (3-6, 6-2, 11-9 over Luckey and Smith)

The Lady and Lady Lions (5-3) will return to the court at 4 p.m. Thursday as they battle Keene at the Cleburne Middle School.
