Recent arrests in Early include two for possession of dangerous drug

The Early Police Department posted the following information on its Facebook page Tuesday morning:

On Friday, August 19 at approximately 8:40 p.m. officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. A passenger was located laying down in the back seat when officers approached the vehicle. A computer check on the occupants showed the passenger Kayla Nicole Bagley had outstanding warrants from Coleman County. The drivers, John Mark Moore Jr.’s license was suspended.

Both Moore and Bagley were placed into custody. When officers checked the console of the area, they located several prescription medication pills laying loose along with scales, drug paraphernalia including a used meth pipe.

Moore was charged with possession of dangerous drug, driving while license invalid, drove in center turn lane and expired motor vehicle registration.

Bagley was charged with possession of dangerous drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, no seat belt, and 2 Coleman County warrants.

Jeffrey Scott Scarborough was arrested on Friday, August 19 for reckless driving and driving while license suspended. Officers observed the vehicle driving erratically on CC Woodson causing a danger to other motorist.

On Saturday, August 20 officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the interview officers became suspicious of the circumstanced and obtained consent to search the vehicle. During the search officers located a baggie containing white crystal powder believed to be methamphetamines.

The driver, Juan Salazar, was arrested for possession of controlled substance in a drug free zone (1000 feet from a School), Expired registration, fail to maintain financial responsibility, No drivers license.

Alejandro Jose Barba-Meza was arrested on Brownwood Police Department warrants when officers stopped him walking in the roadway on Lucas Street.
