Bob Burleson

Funeral services for Bob Burleson, age 68, of Brownwood, will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 27, 2022, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Cleveland Cemetery in Coleman County.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 26, 2022, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

Bob passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.

Bob Dee Burleson was born on March 14, 1954, in Mart, to Jack Ware Burleson and Gladys (Miller) Burleson.  He attended school in San Angelo.  He married Sydney Lea Cupps on August 21, 1980.

Bob went to work for Coca-Cola as a delivery driver for ten years. He then joined Ben E. Keith as a beverage delivery driver, where he worked for the next 28 years before retiring in 2018.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren play sports.

Bob is survived by his wife Sydney of Brownwood, a daughter, Bobbie Jo Anderson and her husband Ray and two sons, Justin Darrell Cupps and Ricky Burleson, a brother, Bruce Burleson and his wife Debbie; 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Burleson, Sandra Kay Cogbill and Shirley Franke.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jack Ware Burleson Jr. and Joe Eugene Burleson, two special aunts, Louise Nichols and her husband Warren and Virginia Burleson and an uncle Bobby Miller.
