Brown County Sheriff’s Report: Aug. 9

  • On Friday, Aug. 5 at about 5:23 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Hwy 279 N in Brownwood. This was in regard to criminal mischief. Deputy Langley spoke to a victim who stated a semi-truck, pulling a red flatbed trailer, used his driveway to turn around, causing damage to the driveway.
  • On Friday, Aug. 5 at 5:24 p.m., Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to FM 2632. This was in regard to trespassing. The complainant stated his neighbor went onto his property and damaged his fence, without his permission. Upon arrival, contact was made and information was gathered and a report was taken.
  • On Friday, Aug. 5 at about 6:01 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at FM 45 in Brownwood. This was in regard to suspicious activity. Deputy Langley spoke to a victim who stated he had received a package on his front porch that had medications, which were not his.
  • On Friday, Aug. 5 at 6:44 p.m, Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to the intersection of CR 108/CR 109. This was in regards to an agency assist. Dispatch advised a large grass fire was at the intersection. Upon arrival, an individual stated they located some items on the property, which didn’t belong there. The property was taken into custody and placed at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center until the owner can be located. A found property report was taken.
  • On Friday, Aug. 5 at about 8:35 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Turner Dr in Brownwood. This was in regard to a burglary. Deputy Langley spoke to a victim who stated someone had entered her residence, without her consent, and taken items from the property.
  • On Sunday, Aug. 7 at 4:04 p.m., Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to Ave. H in Blanket. This was in regard to an animal complainant. The caller stated two dogs killed her chickens. Upon arrival, contact was made and the complainant was able to provide information for the dog’s owner. The owner was contacted and advised of the incident. The owner of the dogs was issued a Dog Prohibited from Running at Large form, for both dogs. A report was taken.
  • On Sunday, Aug. 7 at about 8:17 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Torres Ln in Brownwood. This was in regard to terroristic threat. Deputy Langley spoke to a victim who stated a suspect told her he knew how to kill people and was coming to finish her off.
  • On Monday, Aug. 8 at 1:55 p.m., Deputy Ricky Herring was dispatched to R & J Machine, N. Highway 279. This was in reference to an individual trespassing on his property. Upon arrival, information was obtained, and Herring was able to locate the individual. A Criminal Trespass Warning was issued.
