Early PD makes multiple arrests over last week-plus

The Early Police Department posted the following on its Facebook page Friday:

  • On July 21, officers were working traffic control for a disabled vehicle on Gorman drive while the wrecker hooked up to a truck. A northbound vehicle narrowly missed striking the wrecker driver when it passed by. The officer then went after the vehicle and stopped it in the 900 block of Early Blvd. When the officer made contact with the driver, he could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer had the driver step out and conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle. Officers then located THC wax, Marijuana buds, several items of drug paraphernalia. The driver, Nikki Dawn Morgan 20 yr old from Comanche Oklahoma was placed under arrest for possession of controlled substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug paraphernalia, and fail to slow or vacate lane for stopped emergency vehicle.
  • On July 20, officers stopped to check a vehicle stopped in the roadway in the 100 block of park drive. Once officers made contact with the drivers it was learned that the driver was passed out while driving the vehicle. Officers could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on the subject. Officers attempted to have the male driver perform field sobriety test however he was unable to due to intoxication level. Officers then placed Marcial Rivera Salazar 35-year-old from Comanche in the Brown County Jail for DWI and open container.
  • On July 14, officers were dispatched to a residence on Cactus Lane regarding Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Mischief that just occurred. As officers approached the residence, they observed the suspect leaving the scene. They approached the suspect on the side of the road on Live Oak to ask what had occurred. The female suspect had also reportedly assaulted her mother approximately an hour prior to the call but had left the scene prior to officers’ arrival. When officers went to detain the female suspect she began to resist and struggle with officers. Once the suspect was placed into custody, they found a baggie with white crystal substance later tested positive for methamphetamines and marijuana was located in her pants pocket. The female, Courtney Brook Foster, 23-year-old from Brownwood was taken to the Brown County Jail and charged with Possession of controlled substance, Possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • On July 11, officers responded to an apartment in 200 block of Oak Street regarding a disturbance. When officers attempted to make contact with both parties for an investigation of whether injuries had occurred the male subject refused to allow the officers entry and refused any cooperation. The officers could see a female and children in the kitchen but couldn’t tell if anyone was injured. The male, Erik Nicholas Holguin continued to refuse to cooperate and was arrested for interference with public duties, a class B misdemeanor.
  • On July 11, oficers were domestic dispatched to a disturbance at a motel in the 600 block of Early Blvd. Upon arrival officers learned the male half had left the scene. While officers were getting information, the female noticed the male’s orange shoes under a trailer in the nearby parking lot. Officers confronted the male subject and he admitted to assaulting the female. The male, Dontea Marquis Dillard was arrested and charged with Assault family violence.
