On Saturday, July 23, 2022, ‘Dino Day’ returns to the Brown County Museum of History for hands-on fun about the prehistoric world.  Kids and families get an up close look at geology and archeology, with fossils, bones, arrowheads, rocks and geodes presented in a series of stations inside the museum.

“Showcased will be the Museum’s amazing collection of fossils—some found only here in Brown County, as well as footprints of dinosaurs that were found in this area.  And everything is hands-on discovery for the kids—from cracking a geode to learning how archeologists discover remains from other civilizations.” Reports Coordinator Kyndall Howard.

In addition, Park Ranger Zach Riggs from Dinosaur Valley State Park will be on hand in the fossil dig area to give information about dinosaurs and other creatures from the prehistoric world.

A family-friendly price of only $5 per person is being offered for this special event, and kids age 4 and under are always free.  Price includes all activities and crafts, and admission to all exhibits and the Old Jail.

Saturday, July 23rd from 9:00 – 1:00.  Tickets can be purchased ahead of time, for this and more information check out the Museum of History website or visit the Facebook page
