Donald Hamlett, age 70, of Brownwood passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, at home surrounded by his loved ones.

Celebration of Life for Donald will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, 19, 2022, at New Beginnings with Pastor Kelly Crenshaw officiating; private interment will be held at a later date. There is no set visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Donald was born on August 11, 1951, to Harvey and Betty Sue (Cox) Hamlett in Brownwood. He retired from Superior Essex after 31 years.

Donald married Cathy Stout on February 14, 1994, in Brownwood. He was a member of New Beginnings Church. Donald loved hunting and fishing, and anything that involved being outdoors.

Donald is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cathy Hamlett of Brownwood; children, Holly Pallette and husband Tim of Owens, Heather Bryant and husband Cullen of Zephyr, Phillip Brown and wife Rene of Early, Autumn Hale and husband Rob of Daytona, FL, Joshua Brown and wife Rosalinda of Brownwood; 9 grandchildren; and his sister, Regina Pinkston of Brownwood. He is also survived by other relatives and his friends.

He was preceded by in death by his parents, Harvey and Betty Sue Hamlett.

Memorial donations can be made to New Beginnings Church (1001 Belle Plain Ave. Brownwood, Texas 76801) in Donald’s memory.
