San Saba to Hold Independence Day Events This Weekend

The San Saba Chamber of Commerce 2nd Annual Fourth of July We the People Extravaganza will be this Saturday, July 2, at Mill Pond Park in San Saba and around town.

Several events are planned including the Stan Weik 5K Run & Walk Cancer Stomp at San Saba Golf Course. The event begins at 7:00 am.  A 1 mile fun run is also included.   Register Online: runsignup.com/sansaba5k

The 2nd Annual Parade & Vintage Car Show is open to vehicles of all ages. The parade starts at 11:00 am with the show at 12:00 pm at the courthouse parking lot. The Independence Day Parade will go down Wallace Street, starting at 10th Street and will end at Mill Pond Park. Lineup begins at 10:00 am on Commerce Street and 9th Street.

On Sunday, July 3rd, is the 2nd Annual Old Glory Golf Tournament at San Saba River Golf Course. The tournament starts at 1:00 pm. Entry fee is $50/person with four person scramble format. Cart is included. Call the Pro Shop at 325-372-3212 to register.
