Pecan Valley Genealogical Society meets the 2nd Monday of every month at 6pm in the Genealogy library, 213 S. Broadway across from the courthouse. The library is open 9-6 Tuesday through Friday. Our 1st organized meeting was on a Thursday, September 13,1979 in the boardroom at the main library.

We have a wealth of information on Brown County and the surrounding areas. There are telephone books going back to 1911, Brownwood High School annuals, Howard Payne annuals, obituaries,family books and more.

Anyone interested in Brownwood Genealogy or Genealogy in your family should come to our meetings. You will learn whats new in Genealogy and how to find your family.
