Brown County Rodeo National Anthem Contest winners revealed

The winners of the 2nd Annual KOXE/Texas Farm Bureau Insurance of Brown County Rodeo National Anthem Contest have been announced.

In first place and singing Saturday night prior to the rodeo is Clara Elkin. Dana Sons placed second and will perform Friday night. The third-place finisher who will sing Thursday night is Caden Elkin.

Contestants submitted video entries of them singing the anthem to KOXE KBWD via Facebook messenger.

The winners will receive rodeo tickets for the night they sing, and each winner also has a chance to win either a $100 gift card, 4 Rangers tickets, or 4 Sea World tickets.

The 58th Annual Brown County Rodeo is Thursday, June 2 through Saturday, June 4 at the Earl Q. Wilson Arena on U.S. Highway 377 South. Grand entry each night begins at 7:30 p.m., with mutton bustin’ kicking off the action at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for kids 13-18 and free admission for those 12 and under. Advance tickets are available at KOXE.
