On May 21st, if you are wondering why a mass movement of motorcycles is moving through Central Texas, it is to induct one man as an honorary President.

The Possums Den, a motorcycle club in Bell County, is driving a charity motorcade for Kevin Worthy who lives in a nursing home in Brown County. Kevin Worthy was born with Spina Bifida and is paralyzed from the armpits down and has Hydrosyphilis.

Worthy’s dream is to become a motorcycle president. In response to this, the Possums Den, along with five other motorcycle groups, have assembled this motorcade to meet Worthy. They will be driving across Central Texas for the occasion. “No words could ever express the amount of joy that will be on this young man’s face,” said Phyllis Bailey, the Possums Den Media Organizer.

Residents can catch the motorcade riding “through Kempner, Lampasas, Lometa, Zephyr, Early, Brownwood and Bangs,” Bailey added. The Possums Den and additional groups will meet Kevin Worthy at Bangs High School.

They will honor him as a President and “a Legacy, because his father is a military veteran,” said Bailey. Once they have honored him, Worthy will ride with them in a side car to Underwood’s for lunch.
