Brown County Sheriff’s Report – May 16

  • On Thursday, May 12, Deputy Saydie Bradley took a report for a theft.
  • On Friday, May 13, Deputy Saydie Bradley responded to Hendrick Urgent Care. This was in regards to a dog bite, which occurred at CR 180, Bangs. A report was made.
  • On Friday, May 13, at 6:13 p.m. Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatch to W. Commerce, Brown County Jail. This was in regards to an inmate on inmate assault. Upon arrival, both inmates were identified. Information was gathered and a report was taken.
  • On Friday May 13, at approximately 7:38 p.m. SO units were dispatched to the area of CR 215. This was in reference to a domestic disturbance, which was occurring next door. The actual address was later found out to be CR 215.
  • On Saturday, May 14, Deputy Toby Mathis, responded to CR 498. This was in regards to a theft. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  • On Saturday, May 14, Deputy Toby Mathis, spoke with an individual in regard to an assault. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  • On Saturday, May 14, Deputy Toby Mathis, spoke with an individual in regard to her father’s mailbox being stolen. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  • On Saturday, May 14, 2022, at approximately 7:19 p.m., Deputy Scotty Burke spoke with the complainant, by phone. This was in reference to a terroristic threat report and investigation.
  • On Sunday, May 15, SO units were dispatched to the Allsup’s Convenience Store at E. Hall in Bangs, TX. This was in reference to a panic alarm. The clerk advised dispatch a white male subject was inside the store talking about murder and acting strange. The subject was eventually arrested for Public Intoxication, Fail to ID, and Terroristic Threat.
  • On Sunday, May 15, Sgt. Andre Smoot responded to a dog bite. An investigation was completed, and it was determined a dog attacked a male walking, which was unprovoked. A report was completed.
  • On Sunday, May 15, Deputy Chris Angel, responded to County Road 328. This was in reference to found property. Angel took possession of the property, and a report was taken.
  • On Sunday, May 15 at about 6:03 p.m. Deputy Byron Langley, spoke, by phone, with a victim who stated his ex-mother-in-law had his child and refuses to return his child to him.
  • On Sunday, May 15, at approximately 10:07 p.m. Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to Brin St. in Brownwood. This was in reference to a dog biting another dog.
  • On Sunday, May 15, at approximately 10:59 p.m. Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to the approximate CR 180. This was in reference to a dog being shot and left in the bar ditch.
  • On Sunday, May 15 at about 10:02 p.m. Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at St. Patrick Dr. in Brownwood. This was in regards to a deceased person. Langley spoke to a complainant, who stated his father had died due to medical issues.
  • On Monday, May 16 at about 12:59 a.m. Deputy Byron Langley, spoke, by phone, with a witness who stated a suspect had sent a screen shot of his text message conversation with a witness) threatening her son.
