Doris Freda Teague, 83 of Blanket passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022. Family will host a visitation on Friday, May 13th from 6 to 8 pm at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, May 14th in the Blanket Cemetery, Blanket Texas.
Doris Freda was born on Friday, November 11, 1938 in Burneyville, OK to Hershel and Hazel Reed at home. She attended and graduated from Clovis High School in Clovis, NM. Doris married B. R. Teague II on November 2, 1957 in Clovis, NM and the two began a life together that blessed them with a daughter Brenda and son Cloyd. Doris was a mother and homemaker, she loved spending time with her family. She also, prepared taxes and kept books for local folks in the Blanket area, and loved the history of the Blanket community. Doris attended the Bethel Baptist Church in Zephyr, TX.
Doris is survived by her husband B. R. Teague II of Blanket; daughter Brenda Dietz and husband of Kilgore; son Cloyd Teague and wife Kay of Deleon; granddaughter, Michelle Gerig and husband Josh of Brownwood; and grandson Travis Teague and wife Lilly of Temple.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Hershel Butler and Hazel Earlene Reed; and her sister Marcell Harrison.
