The City of Early Police Department posted the following on its Facebook page Wednesday morning:

We have some terrific news for you! Sergeant Andres Contreras is back in the office after his long fight against Lymphoblastic Leukemia! Many of you in the community donated money to help him with his fight and even more of you have been praying for him. We are so thankful for all of you and incredibly thrilled to have this wonderful officer back in Early helping keep people safe! Here’s his “first day at school” photo!
