Isaac Doss Trimble

Isaac Doss Trimble (Ike), age 87 of Brownwood passed away April 28, 2022. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 3 at Brownwood Heritage Funeral Homes Davis-Morris Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Reverend Doug House, Union Presbyterian Church of Brownwood will be officiating. Visitation will be May 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. followed by the service. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park and Cemetery under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home.

Isaac Doss Trimble was born June 13, 1934, in Hobbs, New Mexico to Charles Owen Trimble and Lettie Imogene Pugh Trimble. At the time of his birth his family lived in Seminole, Texas on the Doss Ranch. Ike graduated from Seminole High School in 1951. He married Joyce Folsom in 1955 in the Presbyterian Church, Seminole, Texas. Ike and Joyce have been long time members of Union Presbyterian Church in Brownwood.

He graduated from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas in 1955 with a BS degree majoring in Agriculture Science. He served in the army from 1956-58 and later received his Masters Degree from Texas Tech. Ike was a Vocational Agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor for 34 years teaching in Seminole, Post, Dalhart, Boys Ranch, Laredo and Dumas, Texas. Ike was known by his students for his excellent character, honesty, humor and humility. He traveled thousands of miles hauling students to stock shows, leadership contest and searching for animal projects. Each his sons and grandchildren will remember him for his wisdom and unconditional love. Ike and his wife Joyce were blessed to enjoy some of their retirement years fishing different lakes in Texas.

Ike is survived by his wife Joyce of 66 years, his sisters Laverne Isbell and husband Rocky, Mary Ann and husband Buddy, his brother Charley Trimble, sons Glenn and wife Sharia, Tim and wife Betty, and Toby. Grandchildren: William Trimble and wife Christi, Austin Harrell and wife Evanne, Tyson Diffie and wife Leah, Callie Diffie, Colton Diffie and wife Karley, Katie Woody and husband Craig, Cody Trimble, Lane Trimble, Talon Trimble. Great grandchildren: Tristan Diffie, Tate Diffie, Anela Diffie, Kana Helseth, Noi Helseth, Evelyn Diffie, Lynlee Kate Woody, Zakk Trimble, Sofia Trimble, Liam Trimble.

Preceded In Death by his mother Jean Trimble Underwood, father Charles Trimble, step-father Roy Underwood, father and mother in-law Robert and Mabel Folsom, brothers and sisters in-laws John and Inez Ancell, John and Patsy Folsom, Walter Hood, L.D. Keen.

Pallbearers: Cody Trimble, Lane Trimble, Talon Trimble, Tyson Diffie, Colton Diffie and Craig Woody.

Memorials can be sent to Union Presbyterian Church.
