Brown County Sheriff’s Report: April 25

  • On Friday, April 22, Deputy Toby Mathis, spoke with an individual in regard to a theft. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  • On Friday, April 22, Deputy Chris Angel, responded to Luker Circle. This was in reference to illegal dumping.  A report was taken, and an investigation is underway.
  • On Friday, April 22, Sgt. Andre Smoot, responded to a theft of motor vehicle call. Once on scene, pertinent information was gathered, and a report was completed.
  • On Friday, April 22, at around 11:47 p.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover responded to E Hwy 377. This was in reference to a domestic disturbance. After further investigation, mental health services were contacted, and the parties were separated. A report was made.
  • On Friday, April 22, at around 9:04 p.m, Deputy Carlyle Gover called a resident at CR 498. This was in reference to stolen property at her residence. After further investigation, a report was made.
  • On Saturday, April 23, Deputy Saydie Bradley, took a report of illegal dumping located at US 183.
  • On Saturday, April 23, Sgt. Andre Smoot responded to a call of found property. The property was retrieved, and an owner was located a short time later. The property was given back to them.
  • On Saturday, April 23 at around 10:54 p.m., Deputy Carlyle Gover, along with Sgt. Andre Smoot, arrived at CR 225. This was in reference to the mailbox for the property being hit by a vehicle and fleeing the scene. After further investigation, a report was made.
  • On Saturday, April 23, Sgt. Andre Smoot, was dispatched to the hospital for a deceased person. An investigation was completed, and pertinent information was gathered.
  • On Sunday, April 24, 2022, Deputy Toby Mathis, responded to FM 2632. This was in regards to a theft. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  • On Saturday, April 23, at around 5:46 p.m., Deputy Carlyle Gover responded to Verde Drive. This was in reference to an unknown female subject trespassing the property. After identifying the trespasser, a Criminal Trespass Warning was served, and a report was made.
