EASTLAND – The Bangs Lady Dragons secured the third softball playoff berth out of District 8-3A, and a date with 7-3A runner-up Breckenridge in the bi-district round of the playoffs, thanks to Saturday’s 5-3 seeding playoff win over Peaster.

Bangs (15-8, 10-5) led 2-0 after one inning, 3-0 through two frames and kept Peaster (10-8, 9-6) at bay the rest of the way.

Abby Wolf went the distance on the mound for Bangs and allowed two earned runs on eight hits with 12 strikeouts and no walks.

Offensively, the Lady Dragons produced nine hits – three by McKenzie Hughes, two and an RBI by Jacee Miller, one hit and an RBI from Wolf, and singles from Neeley Bradley, Jadyn Miller, and Julianna Ethridge.
