During the Brownwood City Council meeting Tuesday morning, the Texas Municipal League Health Benefits Pool presented a Longevity Award to the City of Brownwood for 40 plus years of membership.  Brownwood was one of the first communities in Texas to join the TML Health Benefits Pool on October 1, 1979.  “The TML Health Pool has been good to Brownwood,” said Mayor Stephen Haynes, who has served on the TML Health Board of Directors for 10 years.  Other Brownwood city leaders have served on the board in the past.
