Brown County Sheriff’s Report: April 11

  • On Wednesday, April 6, Deputy Chris Angel, was dispatched to County Road 603. This was in reference to a burglary. A report was taken, and an investigation is underway.
  • On Wednesday, April 6, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire. A report was made.
  • On Thursday, April 7, Deputy Chris Angel, was dispatched to County Road 136. This was in reference to illegal dumping. A report was taken.
  • On Thursday, April 7, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of found property. The complainant advised a bicycle was found in front of Hardwick Nursery. A report was made.
  • On Thursday, April 7, Deputy Jim Cornelius, was assigned a Call for Service at the Law Enforcement Center as individuals reported Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information.
  • On Thursday, April 7 at 4:11 p.m. Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to S US 377, Kohler Co. This was in regard to duty on striking a unattended vehicle. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant. Information was gathered and a report was taken.
  • On Thursday, April 7 at about 5:37 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at CR 444 in May. This was in regards to terroristic threat. Langley spoke to a victim who stated an unknown subject had called harassing him.
  • On Thursday, April 7, at approximately 8:03 p.m. Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to Blarney Dr. in Brownwood. This was in reference to a burglary of a vehicle report and investigation.
  • On Thursday, April 7 at about 9:57 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at the intersection of US 183 S and CR 278 in Zephyr. This was in regards to a burglary. Langley spoke to a victim who stated someone had broken into his building and stolen item
  • On Friday, April 8, Lt. Pete Bastardo was dispatched to CR 216. This was in regards to a deceased person. Contact was made with reporting person, and information was gathered for a report.
  • On Friday, April 8, Sgt. Andre Smoot, responded to a Criminal Trespass Call. Information was gathered about the incident and a Criminal Trespass Warning was issued to the suspect. An information report was completed.
  • On Saturday, April 9, Deputy Toby Mathis, responded to a domestic at Ave C. An individual was later arrested for active warrants, and a report was made.
  • On Saturday, April 9, Deputy Toby Mathis, met with a complainant. This was in regards to a Criminal Trespass Warning. An individual was later located and issued the CTW.
  • On Saturday, April 9, Deputy Toby Mathis, respond to the intersection of 377 S & Brady Ave. This was for a report of an assault. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On Saturday, April 9, Sgt. Andre Smoot, spoke to a complainant referencing fraud. Pertinent information was gathered, and a report was completed for further investigation.
  • On Saturday, April 9, Sgt. Andre Smoot, was dispatched to a medical call where CPR was being performed. Sgt. Smoot arrived on scene and was informed the victim was deceased. A report was completed.
  • On Sunday, April 10, Deputy Toby Mathis, responded to Hutchins Trail for a report of criminal mischief. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  • On Sunday, April 10, Sgt. Andre Smoot. responded to a welfare check involving a vehicle on the side of the road. Once on scene, names were gathered, and it was discovered the female gave a false name of the male half on scene, who had a warrant. The male was later taken into custody and the female was arrested for Hindering Apprehension.
