Lady Lions basketball players earn all-state, academic all-state honors

Senior Tessa Goodwin led the charge among Brownwood Lady Lions basketball players honored by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches and the Texas Girls Coaches Association, as she named all-state by the TGCA, academic all-state by the TABC, and all-region by the TABC.

Lexi Greer, Naysa Leach and Kynslee Walker were each a TABC and TGCA academic all-state selection. Brianna Castaneda was an academic all-state selection according to the TABC.

The Lady Lions finished with a 20-14 overall record, 3-5 in district, and were the fourth seed in the playoffs. Brownwood reached the playoffs for the 12th time in 13 seasons under head coach Heather Hohertz.
